A public vanilla Minecraft server titled Tragedy of the Commons. Named after Garrett Hardin's 1968 paper of the same name. The tragedy of the commons is a situation in a shared-resource system where individual users, acting independently according to their own self-interest, behave contrary to the common good of all users by depleting or spoiling the shared resource through their collective action.

The server was launched at Maylee Todd's Virtual Womb head quarters for the final installment of the Psychonaut experiments. Displayed in conjunction with interactive installation made entirely from waste of down town Toronto's streets and parks.

Carefully restricted to the same foot print of down town Toronto, a total of 16 squared kilometers, the server aims to increase the likelihood of players interacting and expose consumptive practices.
